"Syntax check: When the IDE does a syntax check on a KEL file it first saves the file and then does the syntax check. Since the save does a full code generation and syntax check this means the syntax check part is really redundant and a syntax check isn’t any faster than a save. It would be nice if the syntax check didn’t do a save."
Note - code generation can be a lot slower than syntax check.
Note II - Separating the generation from the save might work - but would want to promote the "compile" / "generate" option from the sub-menu.
