Environment identification?

Hello.

Over the course of our years, and in environments in which internal IP addresses are network-wide and not duplicated, we have utilized the Dali IP (STD.System.Thorlib.DaliServer()), to answer the question, "Where am I?"  This may be used in conditionals that handle things differently dependent upon "Prod" versus "other" Thors, for example (which ORBIT, don't hit $$ gateway, don't email customers, etc).

Obviously, cloud changes things.  And, with AKS clusters and HPCC environments having internal IPs that may change, exist elsewhere, etc., we may not have the luxury of an unchanging company-wide IP address to make such decisions.

Is there a similar option already, or something I missed (or misunderstand)?  Suggestions for another approach?
