      Description

      Smart Join sometimes fails with "invalid pointer"

      eclagent 1303: System error: 1303: Graph[3916], smartjoin[3922]: SLAVE #278 [172.31.x.x:9357]: Invalid pointer,

      Code being executed is as follows:

      SHARED Patched_Infile_thin := o : INDEPENDENT;
      pi1 := JOIN(ih, Patched_Infile_thin, LEFT.RID=RIGHT.RID, TRANSFORM(RECORDOF(ih),SELF:=RIGHT,SELF:=LEFT), KEEP(1), HASH);

      This does not occur all the time however it has failed the 2 of the last 3 times this code was executed.

      Log file fragment attached. Search for "Invalid".

      I've restarted after adjusted the code to not use the SMART option and will append an additional comment if a similar issue reoccurs without implicating the SMART option.
