jsocket printf causes invalid output from eclcc

Running eclcc on OSX in Guest mode (in my case anyway), causes the following line of code to be called:

The printf output is preventing eclipse from parsing the expected XML output.

Note: I am not 100% sure what is actually causing this to be an issue now (as I believe that it is not an issue in older versions of eclcc).
